We are delighted to welcome you to the website of Dr. Mbye Kebba Kah, a highly distinguished Muslim scholar and academician with over 40 years of experience in educating on the African continent. Dr. Kah is a retired Senior Lecturer from the University of The Gambia (UTG), where he served as the Senior Lecturer and Head of the Islamic Studies Unit in the School of Arts & Sciences (SAS). Concurrent to his tenure at UTG, Dr. Kah also served as the Vice Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University in The Gambia, and the Dean of Faculty of Education for Girls from 2015 to 2021.
Dr. Kah currently holds the position of Deputy Secretary General of the Union of African Ulemas (Muslim Scholars) and the head of the Legal Opinions (Fatwa) Committee of the Gambia Supreme Islamic Council (GSIC).
